“I have already submitted my resignation. There are personal commitments and I have been there for six years,” Shastri said.
Ravi Shastri resigned as a member of Cricket Committee of ICC. He mentioned his desire to quit the committee few days earlier as he wrote to ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar that he may resign from the committee. Also, he mentioned the span of being with committee was quite a long time and wanted to take a break from responsibilities.
Kumble quoted, “There is absolutely no conflict of interest. All things have been addressed. There is ICC Cricket Committee, for which I will not be able to dedicate as much time. However, I see no reason why I cannot continue as its chairman.
“There are other national coaches like Darren Lehmann, Andrew Strauss and (Rahul) Dravid (all work for their respective boards in different positions),”
However, Anil Kumble is willing to continue to the same position is a completely different story.
Well, a conclusion is yet expected to come out.
